Wintering deer pics!

Okay went out for fairly lengthy/long drive Saturday looking for Mule Deer.

Sure didn't find much at all, considering the amount of miles and country that I covered.

I managed to find a few does is all and this one buck or so I thought.

What do you guys think??

Same picture, just zoomed in each time.

All Bucks I would say, The very first pic you can tell the first critter is a Buck by the look of his face

Agree. Sure looks like that lead deer has dropped it's antlers already.

I agree guys, still a little unsure though.

When I took the pics, I thought it was a 3-point and 2 does. Not until I got home and zoomed the pics in, did I go...wait a minute.

Wish I would have know at at the time, and I would have hoofed it up the hill and looked for his sheds.

But they where pretty high up and it was cold. :)

I cast my vote for all bucks. You can just see where his nubs on his head are at but they are there.

The reason I was doubting or unsure is because how EARLY this buck shed if that is what he is. I've never seen or heard of one shedding this early down here in So. Utah.

I may have to make a trip back out there someday to see if I could get lucky and stumble upon his sheds??

All bucks, you can see the base (not sure the exact term) were the antler comes out of the head in the last pic.

yep I`ll say 3 bucks, that one has "tufts" up there where the horns were, and it`s front legs are not bending at the knees, does when moving bend thier knees in the front, bucks almost always stay straight legged, or it looks that way to me anyway.

Yea Brett, it is still a bit early. However, as ya know they don't all follow the same exact schedule. He may just be a bit quicker than his partners there.

Hope you dont mind Brett.I cropped so only the one Buck is in pic,the smaller Bucks don't have that mature Buck face.
If you look at the Bucks face I would say definately a older Buck who has learned to kick or lose his head gear early. You can really tell a difference betweeen these other two Bucks, notice the crown from nose to eyes, especially on the pic Brett took.
