In relation to the conifer sapling in the foreground, I'd say it has to be canis lupis by the size. The coloration appears to reflect more wolfishness as well. ------shooter

To give a little history on this photo, it was snapped behind my house about 1/4 mile. There are no dogs around that even come close to looking like this. Could this be a hybrid wolf?, I don't know. But I hope it isn't a pure-breed. The ground was frozen and it left no sign, I did however find a canine track about 200 hundred away ,frozen in the mud, which was about the size of my 70 pound black lab.It's kinda crazy,but now I'm on a mission. If I get any more pictures, I'll post 'em up.

Body size and shape is wrong for a coyote, wolf or hybrid wolf, do you have any Alaskan Malamute in the area? ( know the tail is to straight).

That there's funny stuff,... but no there are no husky type dogs in the area.
