Hello everyone, I am new to the "Madness" but I look forward to the future.
I'd like to start off with the Antelope that I took earlier this week.
I tried for three weeks to take a goat with my bow. But many weeks of scouting were ruined by heavy late August rains that kept everything from coming into the water holes. But I still tried several spot and stalks to with no success.
Then rifle season opened on 9-10-07 and I finally had a chance to get out the next day. I took my oldest daughter with me, and after a little while in the field she spotted a buck. After I looked at it awhile I told her that I would rather pass and wait for a bigger one. But after a few minutes of begging I gave in and took the buck. It is not the biggest one out there but it is very special just because I was with my daughter. I am getting a European mount done, and I have not put a tape to it and don't plan on it. In my opinion if it is a trophy to me that is all that matters.
