Working with dogs?

Just started working with the pup on retrieving shed horns. Any other tips or techniques on training dogs to pick up the bone. Always wanted a friend to pick up horns for me....

Just keep some around him/her, hide some let them chew on some old ones. Work with them. About all I can say.

Here's MY two cent's, and something i learned the hard way.
I trained my lab to pick up sheds by playing catch, hiding them in the yard, yada yada yada.

Now every time i let the bugger out of his kennel, he runs around my yard to all my flower beds, picks up all my "garden clutter" sheds and piles the dang things up on my porch and wags his tail!! ](*,)
