WY speedgoat hunt

Had a great time hunting speedgoats in WY. TGWH, my daughters and I hunted hard but could only find one shooter. We covered a lot of country and saw 100's and 100's of pronghorns, including over 20 mature bucks. It was a drought year and it doesn't look like the horns grew very well. Lots of 12-13" and some with a little mass. My daughter "CowgirlinCO" dropped the hammer on this one.

The girls were determined to haul this goat out "on their own". LOL! I was willing to help.....but....stubborn kids. lol They must take it after their mother. lol

Not a bad antelope at all.
I'm sure I've seen all of this in years past but what were the specifics?
Rifle, caliber, bullet, distance, weight, horn size, etc.

Again, great job!

Well....TGWH offically said it measured 14" on one horn and just shy of 14" on the other. 3 inch. prong, so from the back of the horn it should go 5-5 1/2", I'm not sure on the circumference of the horns. She killed it with a 30-06, handloaded 165 grain hornady interbonds, handloaded by the master of handloading, Mr. theGreatWhiteHunter himself. The shot was close to 200 yards and she knocked him off of his feet with one shot, "Annie Oakley" while approaching her buck saw him move, so she shot him again, he still flinched so she put another one in his chest. lol lol I couldn't help but laugh and say that'll teach him for flinching....

Tomorrow we find out if my neighbor and I can slay antelope as well. Opening day for public land in areas 88 and 90. I've got a doe/fawn tag, so there won't be a lot of reason to get too choosy. I'm not sure what Billy has in mind. This will be his first time out with a tag. He was with me last year when I shot my buck.

Thanks everyone. Here's the buck I ended up killing in Wyoming this year. Scott and I went back and hunted really hard and saw a couple of shooters but I couldn't close the deal. So I ended up shooting this buck. We met some great people up there. Thanks Scott for all of your help and going on this hunt with me, I appreciate it.
