Wyoming

I just got back from my first Mule Deer hunt and I wanted to let everyone know what great people live in the state of Wyoming. To start I did not shoot anything this trip hell I did not see any deer until my last two days but that is another story. I believe any time you meet good people, they accept you with open arms, and they are as helpful as the folks I bumped into in Wyoming you need to let others know. I hunted the Medicine Bow National forest and from the minute we arrived and ate breakfast at the Egg and I resteraunt to the time we left the Mangy Moose in Saratoga we encountered the most helpful folks you could ever meet. I unfortunatly do not remember names so well but the hospitality that we recieved from all made me feel as if I was on a sponsored hunting trip. Even though we did not get on track until the last two days of our 5 day hunt with out the indivduals from the area showing us the ropes we probably would not even had seen the deer that we did. When the group and I started out to hunt Mule deer we did all kinds of research, asked questions from others who have done it, posted to this forum, and had alot of input. With that I was tempted to write down everything we learned to share with others but quickly realized I would be cheating others of a first time experience that I believe everyone should have. after all half the fun was trying to figure it out. In closing I want to thank all the fine folks in Wyoming for making the experience a good one, even though coming home with no horns hurts, the people we encountered made it worth it. So much so that I plan to go back.
