Wyoming antelope draw results are up.

They're up! My daughters and I drew our antelope tags. Unit 80-1 for my older daughter and myself and Unit 80-6 for my younger daughter. I've had my eye on this area for a while now, 80 or 78. I tried for Red Desert for a couple of years but the draw odds stink. When my younger daughter passed her hunter safety course this spring she said, "Dad I want to go to WY and hunt antelope". I thought we had a chance of drawing these buck tags with 2 points and my younger daughter had a chance for a doe tag. I haven't hunted this unit before, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How did the rest of you do?

Well I didn't make my first choice lope in 47 but I did come up with a buck tag in A30 and a doe tag in A47 along with the deer J so combined with my cow tag for E7 I now have some serious planning to do....
Congrats to everyone else that drew...
Hiker you are probably going to have one of the best hunts of your life because anytime a youngster is out on their first hunt it makes for everlasting memories....Good luck and I hope your daughters and you have a great time and great hunt....
Also Good Luck to everyone else..

Mnbogboy I used to hunt 47 but then tags became harder to get after some Magazines published info on the unit. I will buy more points this year and get left overs for deer and antelope.

Congrats on the unit 30 tag I never hunted that unit but good luck to ya.

Awesome to hear about the draws! I'm kinda bummed out because I drew (Antelope) my third choice (30A) #-o ! Never been, but I hear there is quite a bit of private property. Looks like I 'm gonna have to do some research too! Hopefully there is a Walk in Area or some other type of access. Anyone have any good info on the unit? its gonna be a long drive from NV ](*,) !

Killerbee Yep that would be the main area Eastmans yapped about. But there were some other good areas in the unit. Now I hunt on Private ground in areas that I can always get a tag.

Wyoming is a big state and nice antelope can be found all over. We saw some nice bucks over in the southwest part of Wyoming last year, mostly public ground. Like TGWH said good tags can be had every year, especially in areas by Cheyenne, as most of that ground is private. Many of those ranchers will let you on with a small tresspass fee or just for asking.
