wyoming poachers CAUGHT !!!!!

I think they should lose EVERYTHING that is used in the commission of the crime..and throw the fines and jail time on top of it.

My vote was yes also. Punks don't care, hit them hard and heavy and maybe we can start getting people to think twice. I doubt it though.

We seem to have a lack of law abiding citizens and it only seems to be getting worse.

Not sure, but I think what might drive some of the poachers is $$$. You've got various people willing to pay some big bucks for a trohpy rack. The have no interest in hunting for a trophy themselves, only the desire to "own" a trophy. Many establishments, such as bars and restuarants, fall into this category. Perhaps a law making it illegal to purchase a set of antlers or mount might persuade some. Don't know, just thinking out loud on my keyboard here.

hopefully wyoming has some stiff penalties for poaching . i believe that they should get the max for poaching those two big bucks . lets hope that justice will be served .

Nail there a$$e$ to the wall, take everything and a STIFF STIFF fine and jail time, take away hunting rights for a period of time as well.

Maybe if the penalty was way to stiff for the crime less people would do it.

Take it all. And lock em up, then don't ever allow them to have any hunting privlidges, in any state.

I don't think taking away hunting priviledges would deter many poachers, as they disregard the hunting regs to begin with. I can understand why there is seldom any jail time, as the justice system doesn't see a poacher as a violent criminal. Even can see why the fines aren't much in most cases because then the person declares bankrupt and goes on welfare and becomes a drain on society. This is all looking at it from the government's side. I'm for doing the max that the law allows, max jail, max fine, never able to hunt again for life and confiscate everything the individual used in the commission of the crime. For the reasons stated above I believe we will rarely ever see it happen, except in repeat offenders. Just my $$ yet again.

I think most poachers have the attitude "It's only illegal if you are caught." I agree max everything. And I think it is illegal to posses heads with out a tag to prove you harvested it.

I believe in taking everything that was used to committ the crime along with jail and fines, but as far as taking away hunting priviledges that is not much of nothing to them after all they are poachers and once a poacher always you never need hunting priviledges to claim poached animals. They need a poaching affenders list which people can view just like sex affaenders do.

Poachers are thieves that steal from everyone else in the state the crime is committed. I say we do like they do in the middle east and just cut off a hand each time they do it. It's always great to hear when poachers are caught.
