well my 09 elk season is over missed a cow at 30 yards and still dont know how i screwed that up but i got my 2nd season buck tag so hopfully i can get it done

Been there, done that. Each year it seems like we get one chance to shoot, and this year it was a 300 + shot uphill. My husband didn't take the shot, we tried to get closer but the elk moved off even farther. Yesterday my husband hiked up into the same area and heard a lot of shooting, so apparently someone else found 'our' elk! We still have today and tomorrow....

better luck next time Colorado, but at least you know where the big bucks are good luck on dropping one of those boys. Make sure you leave me a good one lol
