Score this buck
Ok, here's a recap of what I posted last year about this buck.
Here's buck #2 - We really never had a name for him. Maybe I'll call him (shorty) because of his short left main beam.
This first picture was during the archery hunt.
This picture was on the second day of the muzzy hunt. My friend Paul passed on him opening day. Then I spotted him bedded here in this picture over a mile away. My other friend Corby and Cousin John put a stalk on him and got within about 40 yards but the buck busted out of there before they could get a shot.
Another 155-160" buck?
Well, I ended up finding his sheds this year. I'll show them at another time. I also have his 2009 sheds too.
So I put a tape on him and was able to match the angle that his antlers went from the straight on picture I have. I'm sure I'm within an inch on his width. One hint that's a little hard to see, is that his left main beam only goes about 4" past his G-4.
Ok, people through out some of your best guesses. How close was my guess?

Re: Score this buck
Bit of a tough one for me, from the back pic he looks BIGGER than that to me, from the front view he looks about right were you said. I'm going to have to ponder this one before I guess...nice pics though. Cool you picked up his sheds.
Re: Score this buck
I'm not the greatest at this but he looks taller than a 155" from the head on view to me. I'm going with dare I say 169"... but I could be way off.

Re: Score this buck
Very hard to tell but I also thought he looks bigger than 155 I agree with right around 170
Re: Score this buck
I think your pretty close with your 155-160 guess. The short beam and narrow spread will probably keep him under 160.
Re: Score this buck
Im gonna guess 175. Probably over shot him but he's got some nice length going on.
Re: Score this buck
You guys are real close. He comes in right at 170". Give or take an inch.
Here's what he looks like this year.
Oh, by the way. My friend Tom put his tag on it yesterday.

Gotta give credit where credit is due......Once again Koby spotted shorty and put us on him. As usual Paul and Corby were right there to help with the spot 'n stalk. Couldn't ask for a better group of friends to hunt with! Thanks guys!! Truly a dream buck and I owe it all to these guys.ridgetop wrote:You guys are real close. He comes in right at 170".
